Guest Guest Hello, I've been trying to import my excel database of contacts and get the above error. I am using an Excel sheet that was exported from Outlook (same version - 2003) on another computer mapi error 0x80040201 I was using. I am able to import the first 1381 contacts from my database,
Error Initializing Mapi Error Code: 0x80004005.
but then get the following: An error while importing or exporting and the import/export was terminated. MAPI error 0X80070057 was reported. Please

try to import/export again later. My total database includes 1782 contacts. I did go into the database and update email addresses that were missing, but I don't think this is the cause because those contacts were http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/msoffice/forum/msoffice_outlook-mso_other/i-received-this-mapi-error-0x80040107-was-reported/0c480e80-2447-4cfe-8706-2ebbb01c6d21 successfully imported. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as this is really starting to frustrate me. Thanks, Amy Guest, Aug 17, 2007 #1 Advertisements Karl Timmermans Guest Mapi Error 0x80070057 is returned when an Invalid Parameter is encountered. Assuming that this error occurs "all the time" and not just a one-time blip, then the error would logically appear to be in contact #1382 given that the first 1381 were imported. Take a http://www.pcreview.co.uk/threads/error-while-importing-contacts-from-excel-to-outlook-mapi-0x80070.3206339/ look at that to see if there is anything visible or create a copy of your worksheet, delete that particular contact and see how far you get. It is possible that more then one contact record in your Excel worksheet may have the same issue (whatever that issue may be) so repeat the above process as often as necessary if the problem is not visibly evident.
