importing mail until 03/29/2010 into Outlook 2010. Why is it not importing all the previous emails from Windows Mail ? Only emails up to a certain date would be imported. Emails after a certain date were missing. Outlook needs to be the 32-bit version. The 64-bit version will not work -as told on another forum. Outlook should be set as your default mail client. Make sure Outlook is not running. Open Windows Mail. Menu item: File -> Export -> Messages. Select output to 'Microsoft Exchange'. Follow the directions as presented but for me if I selected 'All Folders' this appeared to export something but nothing arrived in Outlook. What did work was to highlight 'Selected folders' and select all the folders using Shift. Don't ask me why this worked when 'All folders' didn't. Close Windows Mail. Open Outlook.Allyour emails from WMshould appear as a folder called Outlook Data File in the folders pane.Either leave it as is or batch dragemails to your default account - takes ages, very slow for some reason and may crash if emails are very large.
