Everything worked fine in Windows XP, but if the user ran the same program in Windows 7 you would get a Runtime error ‘32002’. After a fair amount of searching on the internet I got several conflicting reasons as to why this was “crashing”. To save those other poor soles that may come across this problem I have pasted a working vb6 solution that works in Windows 7 below… Public Function TestEmail(ByRef MAPIMessages As MA

After Upgrading to the newer version of the program the sending mail fails http://www.codeproject.com/Questions/130333/VB-and-MAPI with the following error: Error 32002: Unspecified Failure has occurred, sending mail Everything works as it should, it brings up the security box and upon clicking "allow" the process seems to loop forever. The error described mapi error above come upon clicking "allow" again. The developer of the program say it works fine on their machines under the same configuration, Windows 7 32bit and Office 2010. Has anybody seen this before and has a solution to this? BtW this also happens in Outlook 2003 on another machine, not sure if it is a Windows 7 problem then. Thanks for any help. Does the issue occurs in other program, such as word or other office programs. If it is a self-designed program, it might be related to the coding. you'd better post it in the office for developers forum If the problem also occurs in other programs, mapi32.dll might be corrupted. try to run fixmapi.exe Sincerely Wednesday, April 13, 2011 8:41 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hello Thanks for the info. Unfortunatley I am not the one writting the code. I had a feeling that the code might be the problem. They use an embedded VB code that they call within the program. I already talked to the programer and all they tell me that it works on their machines. They sent me two different versions of the program with apperently changed code but that did not help or made it worse. What gets me is that the previous version had no problem at all and the code has not changed. The fixmapi I already tried. Word and excel are no problem. I guess I have to convince the programer to make some more tests but if it works on his machine thats not
