They seemed to happen just about anywhere, with no apparent cause. I eventually started to realize they were most common around and in Dalaran, as well as when flying over Wintergrasp. One of my guild-mates was experiencing the same issue, and eventually was able to discuss it with a GM. The GM told him the issue was caused by Carbonite and/or Questhelper. He said that disabling Carbonite did indeed resolve the issue. I ran some tests today to see what results I got. I run a huge number of addons, so the easiest test was to simply disable Carbonite and play for a few hours. I followed the exact routine I've followed every day for the past three weeks. I do the Dalaran cooking and fishing dailies, and then Argent Tournament dailies. I have always experienced at least one crash per day following this routine. I experienced no crashes or glitches the entire time. Once back in Dalaran, I logged out and re-enabled Carbonite. I then logged back in and disabled the "max camera distance" option in Carbonite. I ran around the city for a few minutes-no crash. I then took a "taxi" to the Argent Tournament grounds and back-no crash. I then took a "taxi" to River's Heart in Sholazar. The game crashed as I passed over Wintergrasp with the following error: --------------------------------------------------------------------------- This application has encountered a critical error: Not enough storage is available to process this command. My video card is a GeForce GTX 285 with 2Gig of onboard RAM. I'm guessing WoW is requesting too much VRAM, causing the crash. I'm running WoW in full-screen windowed mode, which might be part of the problem. I'm going to run some more tests now, and will post any additional information I can. I certainly hope this WoW GM was wrong. This bug could be very hard to fix if th

The in-game horizon disappears (just see black) and the view range becomes limited to the immediate surrounding area that's already loaded within my character's sight. The game then proceeds to crash (similar to the 1st link above).Pretty sure I can reproduce this particular crash by just flying around in Crystalsong Forest or anywhere else in Northrend until my UI starts repeatedly disappearing / re-appearing again with the horizon glitching out.I run my game on Ultra settings (since my new laptop can handle it).I'm using the addons listed in the crash reports for years now (since I started playing WotLK on Omega) - none of wh

Well, after a long break, I'm back at trying to debug wine + WoW again. Somewhere alsa stopped working for me totally in wine (multilib problem I think). Now that it's working again, running the winmm and dsound tests I don't get any crashes, which I did before. I still get crashes in WoW though, with both OSS and ALSA, so I figure I'll try to get to the bottom of the common problems first before going back to see if ALSA is still a problem. I'm attaching to the process with gdb, but it's not catching things at the point where they go wrong. Typically I am just seeing a stack like this though: #0 0x56752a01 in ?? () I might be doing something wrong. It's been a long time since I used gdb for anything threaded, and never with NTLM. I've tried attaching to wine-pthread process and the wine-preloader process, with pretty much the same results. It's a real shame that +relay slows things down too much for be to be able to get to the point where a crash occurs. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might get a handle on where things are going wrong? How are exceptions caught by wine? A lot of the time WoW handles the error so can I work back from there? A lot of the time I get a report like this: This application has encountered a critical error: Not enough memory Program: C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\WoW.exe File: C:\build\buildWoW\WoW\Source\WorldClient\MapMem.cpp Line: 589 WoWBuild: 4341 -----------------------------------------------------------------------
