Mc2300dl Error Message 16h

was overheated. I put a fan on it and now it works fine. by unknown on Aug 14, 2007 at 3:47pm Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Actually 16H means the transfer belt is not working properly. That is directly from the Minolta respresentative. Although he tried to walk me through examining the transfer belt it still did not work. Then when I called the authorized service companies I was discouraged that the diagnosis fee was $65. They also guessed that a transfer belt repair would be at least $200. This is when I figured to go for broke to clean out the machine myself. The good news? IT WORKED !! Here are the step by step directions:1. Turn off the Minolta 2300. Safety is always the first step.2. Open the panel door exposing the toner waste container and cartridge access area. 3. Gently pry away the waste toner container from the printerr. Be careful because it is full of toner powder that is waste and easily spills out of the two port holes Go outside and dispose of the waste toner powder into a garbage bag. Stand upwind incase the toner dust blows out. KEEP THE CONTAINER!!4. When you return to the printer, put the waste toner container aside for assembly back into the printer later.5. Now to remove the two components of the printer. There are two manual screws holding the transfer belt component securely. One is on the left upper part, one is on the right. You may need a screw driver to get them loose. Untighten them completely. They will NOT come out. They are designed to loosen, but stay attached to the transfer belt component. That is a good thing so that you don't loose them! Flip the large blue handle with the arrow upward.6. After you loosen the screws and flip the blue handle upward, look for a portuding squarish handle below the larger blue handle transfer belt component. Look caredfully at the diagram on this little handle. You must squeeze the level on the underside of this squarish handle to unlock it. Once unlocked you carefully slide this part out. It has a shiny green cylinder which you probably should not touch. Put this whole component aside for later assembly back in.7. Now you are ready to pull out the transfer belt component. You have already loosened the two screws as above, and you have removed the shiny green cylinder part as above, so not carefully slid

You should see a pale green plastic handle on the top of this part. You can grab that handle to assist you to remove the part completely from the printer. At the end of sliding the component outward you will need to carefully angle the part upward because there is a metal guide track at the upper most http://printfxblog.blogspot.com/2012/01/how-to-solve-error-16h-on-konica-2300.html portion of the part which will prevent the part from disengagin from the track unless you angle the part upward at the very end of the slide. Examine the somewhat shiny plasticky belt to be not torn, damaged or dirty... Angle the transfer belt part upward (the end closest to you goes upward) and guide the part onto the metal guide track at the upper portion of the printer. Slide the component in.Tighten the two hand-screws.Slide the shiny green cynliner component back in. Make sure to squeeze the underside of that squarish handle at the final insertion because that permits the component to seat properly and lock in place.Flip the large blue handle back into the down position as before we started this process.Vacuum the two spots where the waste toner container port holes fit into.Put the waste toner container back into position.Close the door. Turn on the printer.
