Window Media Player Audio Codec
for: Where can I find the proper codec to play my mp4 files? Katie B March 14, 2014 Facebook Twitter Pinterest Stumbleupon Whatsapp Email Hi there, recently I've discovered the problem in Windows 7 on my TOSHIBA laptop. It won't let me play videos stored onto it, as it comes up with this message: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file." Everything else such as pictures and music work perfectly, it's literally just the videos. I've only tried mp4 files, but I don't see how that would change as it's the codec that's missing. Films work fine, I have tested it. The actual Windows help page is no use whatsoever; it tells me I can download them from the Internet, but it doesn't tell me where. I've tested out a couple third party codec packs - I don't really trust them, but I had no choice - but still nothing. Has anyone got a solution to this?! This is really stressi

Additionally, you can download ACE Stream and watch videos directly from .torrent files (from TPB or similar sites) without waiting to download them directly to your computer. http://www.softblogger.net/2012/10/play-torrents-movie.html 08-25-2013 09:16 PMAdam Roonie Feedback I want video codec for playing torrent movies... 11-17-2014 12:54 PMmanish singh Feedback None of these people know what they're talking about. It has nothing to do with codecs. If you torrent a video that then gives a message that you have to use Windows Media Player (esp. when the extension is not WMV), it wants to run code, not play the video. Delete it. There are a lot of these fake torrents out there, esp. for popular movies. 02-16-2015 12:41 AMreg Feedback Post Your Answer TopicYour replyYour name or log inVerify you're humanBy submitting this form you agree to our posting rules, privacy policy and our disclaimer. While this program merely enhances a media player, it does a fine job of accommodating many different and unusual types of videos and music. The program's interface is simple to operate, since it maintains the classic media player layout. Its commands are easy to understand and navigate. This codec pack makes it a bit difficult to measure any improvements to Windows Media Player since it's not a player itself but rather a set of add-ons to your current audiovisual software. However, it adds the capability to watch and listen to a bevy of file formats, from DVDs and CDs to video file
