Page 1 of 2 1 2 Next > ARCHIVED-JD2006 Guest Hey guys, I downloaded the trial and am trying to get acquainted with http://forums.daybreakgames.com/eq2/index.php?threads/blue-screen-error-hardware-malfunction-nmi-parity-check-memory-parity-error.491809/ the game but keep getting this blue screen error. It happens generally after 15 minutes or so of playing. Here's the message I get: "Hardware malfunction Call your hardware vendor or support NMI: Parity Check/Memory Parity Cover ***System has halted*** " This only happens when playing the game, I've never seen it otherwise, and while I know correlation does not equal causation.... As I'm writing this post I'm thinking now memory parity that perhaps it is only happening when I play the game in windowed mode - I'll check that out after I post this. Also, when looking through other posts I saw that posters would include a lot of text regarding their system which seems to be copy/pasted. I'm a complete computer idiot, so I don't know how to get all that information. I imagine it will be necessary to memory parity error help me, but, I thought perhaps this was a known error with a known set of causes. In any case, if anyone could tell me what information they would need from me to provide support, I'll obviously be glad to get it for you. ARCHIVED-JD2006, Jun 27, 2010 #2 ARCHIVED-Ironcleaver Guest Just to help eliminate it as a variable, I'd suggest testing your memory: http://hcidesign.com/memtest/ The reasion you may only see this error in eq2, and not another game, is that it could be using a rarely used stick of memory. If the above runs though without any errors, then we can get deeper into troubleshooting. There is a post stickied that explains how to list your system specs. ARCHIVED-Ironcleaver, Jun 27, 2010 #3 ARCHIVED-JD2006 Guest Thanks. I ran that test and it found no errors.
