This is a fresh install of the WSE library, no other version has been installed previously. I am using the installer directly from: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=FC5F06C5-821F-41D3-A4FE-6C7B56423841&displaylang=en I receive the following error: Error 1001. Unknown Error (-1) and then: Error 1001.Could not find file "c:\program files\microsoft wse\v2.0\microsoft.web.services2.InstallState". The logged in user is an Administrator. No other issues with installation of other applications have been noted. Any help is appreciated as I'm trying not to have a re-install of XP as the solution :) Thanks. Go to CD #1 > bin > acadfeui > Support > WSE Get rid of the WSE 2.0 that is there and replace with Microsoft WSE 3.0. Then copy and paste Microsoft WSE 3.0 and rename to "Microsoft WSE 2.0 Runtime", so you should have 2 identical files with different names in the WSE folder... as follows: CD1/bin/acadfeui/Support/WSE/Microsoft WSE 3.0 CD1/bin/acadfeui/Support/WSE/Microsoft WSE 2.0 Runtime A little rough, though she works Regards Mark Sunday, June 11, 2006 2:48 PM 0 Sign in to vote thank u very much. exactly this did the job. why ever wse 2.0 didnt work on my laptop. i simply copied wse3.0 to the folder, renamed it to wse2.0 (like the file that is in the folder!) and everything works fine. to keep the old wse2.0 file in the folder isnt necessary. i deleted it before installing so only the wse3.0 file with the name of the wse2.0 is in the folder. thx a lot! Bekomme folgende Fehlermeldung bei der Installation "Error 1001" von Microsoft WSE 2.0 Runtime oder sowas. Woran liegt das und wie kriege ich das Problem fix gelöst.
