The message code is:- Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: iexplore.exe Application Version: 8.0.7601.17514 Application Timestamp: 4ce79912 Fault Module Name: mshtml.dll Fault Module Version: 8.0.7601.17655 Fault Module Timestamp: 4e2917e5 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 001388b9 OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 2057 Additional Information 1: 0a9e Additional Information 2: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 Additional Information 3: 0a9e Additional Information 4: 0a9e372d3b4ad19135b953a78882e789 This is on IE8 - I tried IE9 and basically get the same message - now gone back to IE8 - dont like the look and feel of IE9. This does not occur on all web pages - most work OK. I am using Windows 7 Pro (64bit) on a new computer build. I tried another computer running Windows 7 Home (64bit) and IE 8, and the same pages thatfail on this computer work OK on it. Any ideas what may be causing this problem ? Regards, Nick. Not only does it actually handle the processing and procurement of webpages, but it’s also responsible for many other Internet-related functions that your system has. This error can be caused by several different reasons, which you can see here: The file is missing or corrupted from your system. The file is an old (or corrupt) version from past versions of Internet Explorer The file is unreadable or inaccessible Viruses have damaged the file Try to replace this file with a fresh copy, cover the corrupted file in C:\Windows\System\ms

Gistcheckin, May 9, 2007 #2 Advertisements LucasLichte Guest Hello, I'm https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/ie/en-US/06b88e92-5775-403e-8388-b4656496ca60/mshtmldll-error-on-print-preview-ie8-ie9?forum=ieitprocurrentver sorry about the late response to this. The user and I have been unable to get in touch with eachother until recently. I have read through the linked response and it was unfortunately not helpful. The scripting engine has been reinstalled, and these DLL's have been re-registered: Comdlg32.dll Msjava.dll Actxprxy.dll Oleaut32.dll Mshtml.dll Browseui.dll Shdocvw.dll javascript:navigator.appMinorVersion returns http://www.winvistatips.com/threads/ie7-crash-in-mshtml-dll-when-printing.316150/ a 0. Just to note, this has been occuring on an XPSP2 system with IE7. It appears that there was a problem with Comdlg32.dll, but nothing else. I was unable to follow the news links, as I don't have news access, and the other link links to a Google Groups search about Comdlg32.dll. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to glean any sort of commonality or information from this link, other than there are problems with Comdlg32.dll. Either way, as the file also cannot be registered on my test machine which does NOT have the problem, it doesn't seem like it is pertinent. Are there any other suggestions? I installed the latest driver for the printer and updated windows (which took forever), but it keeps crashing IE11. I'm not sure if it would also crash on other printers, as I have none available to test. When I check the event logs I'm getting the following output: Naam van toepassing met fout: IEXPLORE.EXE, versie: 11.0.14393.0, tijdstempel: 0x57899082 Naam van mshtml.dll error printing module met fout: MSHTML.dll, versie: 11.0.14393.51, tijdstempel: 0x57a02107 Uitzonderingscode: 0x4000001f Foutmarge: 0x00d76da7 Id van proces met fout: 0x1664 Starttijd van toepassing met fout: 0x01d1f94d3d65da76 Pad naar toepassing met fout: C:\Program Files (x86)\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE Pad naar module met fout: C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\MSHTML.dll Rapport-id: 4f344148-9cdf-4787-9c0d-3d63bc632ef8 Volledige pakketnaam met fout: Relatieve toepassings-id van pakket met fout: So, it's MSHTML.dll that keeps crashing for some reason.
