I'm a complete noob and I barely even know what root is. I think it's somewhere around the equivalent of admin in windows. Well, I got the file to run but it turns out that the driver will not recognize my card. Are you simply trying to install the Nvidia driver? There is a point and click interface for that - look for "Additional drivers" under your system settings. The first thing to try is: gksudo jockey-gtk If the driver is offered to you, activate the recommended driver. Para algunas Nvidia hay que instalar el 295.33 porque los posteriores no funcionan.Para instalar el driver de Nvidia tenes que estar en una tty. Guardas el .run desc
