as Uncategorized I noticed two different WP errors on Chiropractic Blogs today… WordPress database error: [Got error 1 from storage engine] WordPress http://blog.planetc1.com/wordpress-database-error-got-error-122-from-storage-engine/ database error: [Got error 122 from storage engine] The first was https://www.virtualmin.com/node/11524 repaired via phpmyadmin by running a repair on tables showing Bytes in the Overhead column. Thanks to Paul Stamatiou's post How To Quickie: Repair MySQL Tables I had no problem getting that accomplished. The other error appeared after the first was corrected. It mysql error read… WordPress database error: [Got error 122 from storage engine] SELECT t.*, tt.* FROM wp_terms AS t INNER JOIN wp_term_taxonomy AS tt ON t.term_id = tt.term_id WHERE tt.taxonomy IN (‘category') ORDER BY t.name ASC My first thought was that a comment left yesterday somehow messed up the database, but comments were appearing just fine, so mysql error 122 I figured it was likely something else. Only the category section was being affected. I logged into the server to check server status and everything looked good. Account wasn't over disk quota (another assumption I had) and nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary. I restarted the mySQL Server but no change took place. Had to go to the office so I figured I'd look into this more when I returned home. Wouldn't you know it, I get home and refresh the page, and everything is appearing normal again. I'll see what happens over the next 24 hours or so and will post an update if I get more information. The error is back 10 minutes later so it obviously didn't fix itself. Researching further. MySQL Errcode: 122 when creating databases after update 14 posts / 0 new Log in or register to post comments Last post #1 Sun, 09/20/2009 - 09:15 Deviation MySQL Errcode: 122 when creating databases after update I've run into a bit of a snag after updating MySQL via Virtualmin. Any time I go to create a table, I get the following error: #3 - Error writing file './DB_NAME/TABLE_NAME.frm' (Errcode: 122) From what I've looked at thus far, I know its a quota issue. The first thing I did was create a new plan with unlimited quotas. I applied that to my virtual server without any luck. So I checked my limits with ulimit. It shows unlimited for mysql, the user account, and root. I'm stuck. Any help would be appreciated. This wasn't an issue before the Virtualmin updates. CentOS 5.2 x64 Virtualmin GPL 3.73 MySQL 5.0.77 Log in or register to post comments #2 Sun, 09/20/2009 - 11:00 andreychek Hrm, well, as you've seen, that error definitely appears to be a quota or space error. Are you sure you have enough space in /var (or specifically, /var/lib/mysql)? Although this doesn't typically happen, you might want to verify that the mysql user doesn't have a quota set on it -- you can verify that by typing "quota -v mysql". Next -- for the group of the Virtual Server you're creating -- what does "quota -g GROUPNAME" show? -Eric Log in or register to post comments #3 Sun, 09/20/2009 - 12:10 Deviation quote -v mysql shows: Disk quotas for user mysql (uid 27): Filesystem blocks quota limit grace files quota limit grace /dev/xvda 101172 0 0 978 0 0 quota -g GROUPNAME shows: Filesystem blocks quota limit grace files quota limit grace /dev/xvda 1752600* 1048576 1048576 131 0 0 If i'm reading that correctly, its showing a 1GB quota? There's 8GB free on the system. Log in or register to post comments #4 Sun, 09/20/2009 - 12:22 andreychek Mmm, yeah, looks like the group for your Virtual Server is using 1.7GB, but
