need to do an update that matches the ISBN from one table with the ISBN from the other and then add the sales from the one table to the other. This needs to be done for about 30,000 products. Here's a specific scenario that I'm trying to understand. Admin entered an update on master that took a long time to execute. Admin hits Ctrl-C to stop the query. I see four scenarios that may have happened: Nothing happened on the slave, because master waits until the http://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/66748/when-interrupting-a-query-on-a-master-does-it-replicate-to-the-slave query is finished executing before it sends the query to the slave. A huge update happened on the slave, because the master passed the query along immediately, and didn't pass the ^C along to the slave. The same update happened on the slave as the master, because the master passed the query along immediately, and also passed the ^C along to the slave. The same updates happened on the slave as the mater, because the master passed each individual update along to the slave. Which one of these actually happened ? Here is a sample message that can sometimes appear when you interrupt a query on a Master Query partially completed on the master (error on master: 1053) and was aborted. There is a chance that your master is inconsistent at this point. If you are sure that your master is ok, run this query manually on the slave and then restart the slave with SET GLOBAL SQL_SLAVE_SKIP_COUNTER=1; START SLAVE; . Query: (INSERT vhc (v_id, vc_id) SELECT 7421594, vc_id FROM vc WHERE label='st' AND value='re') Error 1053 is a Se
