Our company is usinga program, developed

based on .Net Framework 2.0 This program is running in Window Server 2008. (.Net framework. 2.0 SP2, .Net framework 3.5) And mscorwks.dll crash recently, we have got this error message and application also got down. I found this error message 'EVENT ID 1023 .Net RuneTime Version 2.0.50727.5420 -Fatal Execution Engine Error' from event log. We have searched https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/684dcaab-313b-430d-8703-47a98922129b/net-runtime-error-eventid1023?forum=clr for the solution through the internet. And found the following suggestion. 1) upgrade .Net Framework 2.0 to .Net framwork 2.0 SP1 -> we already use .Net Framwork 2.0 SP2. 2) uninstall and reinstall .Net framework 2.0 -> not solvedthis problem. So, we would like to know if there is known issue regarding this issue and ianother way to solve this problem. And if it's possible, we want to ask why https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/lync/en-US/eaaa1d21-8b71-438d-b9ca-caec3d0fa2a7/event-id-1023-error-net-runetime-version-20507275420-fatal-execution-engine-error?forum=winservergen this error occurs recently. (when we developed / used our program before, there was no problem.) Vivian Wang Monday, June 02, 2014 7:07 AM Reply | Quote Moderator 0 Sign in to vote In the below article, it says that the issue '913384' is fixed and included in .Netframework 2.0 SP1. "The .NET Framework 2.0 Service Pack 1 fixes the problems that are described in the following articles in the Microsoft Knowledge Base: 913384 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913384/ ) FIX: A .NET Framework 2.0 application that runs under a user account context when no user profile is associated with the user account context may crash, or you may receive an access violation error message" And, as I mentioned, we already use .Net framework SP2. Does your reply mean that we should try this hotfix even though we are already using SP2? Tuesday, June 03, 2014 12:33 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hi, Sorry for my misunderstanding.
