I found out when I brought up the BE 2010 remote admin on my PC and the BE Server was not https://vox.veritas.com/t5/Backup-Exec/NET-Runtime-2-0-Error-with-ntdll-dll/td-p/338042 running. Then, Iremoted into the media server and started the service. Started up fine. When I went into the event log I foun this error: Faulting application beserver.e4xe. version 12.5.2213.112, stamp 4942b3fb, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 5.2.3790.3959, stamp 45d70ad8, debug? 0, fault address 00002a754a. As you can see from the message I'm running 12.5 on a Windows 2003 server. Any ideas of what would cause this? Solved! Go to Solution. Could be that the 2010 console is not backwards compatible with 12.5 media servers... Craig 0 Kudos Reply

I have the application running through the same test ona test automation PC. I have Application Verifier running to check for Heap corruption but in this case its not reporting any. The application crashes with the usual windows error dialog popping up and asking if you wish to send to Microsoft. In the Microsoft Windows Application Event Log I see the following when my application crashes, the app that net runtime 2.0 is reported to have crashed is the C application: Any ideas how to trace the culprit here?
