Inventor MicroStation MicroStation Basic You are here: Home / Others / Technical Troubleshoot / Have problem downloading your Autodesk products?Have problem downloading your Autodesk products? May 27, 2013 by Edwin Prakoso 20 http://www.cad-notes.com/downloading-autodesk-products/ Comments © giadophoto - Fotolia.com Autodesk has changed download method for 2014 https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/501400-autodesk-inventor-pro-2014-error product trial. Some products only have ‘install now’ option. You can’t download the installer media and install it on several machines. If you need to install it on 5 machines, then you need to download it 5 times. This actually make sense. If you want to try a software, then network error you will install it on one machine or two. Not on a dozen of computers. Install now will only download necessary files, not the whole installation media. For example, you want to install AutoCAD 2014 64Bit. Using install now method will only download 64Bit files, with necessary prerequisites and components. Let’s say you already have necessary prerequisites installed. You already have materials network error cannot library installed. This option will not download those files during installation. It sounds ideal, isn’t it? Probably in a perfect world. However, many have problem using this method. Another issue that you should aware in media delivery: some suites physical media doesn’t have 32Bit inside. Check the product list here. 32Bit is supported (not all products - see your software system requirement), but the physical media only have 64Bit inside it. You need to download the 32Bit media. If you need to install it on several machines, install now obviously not a good option. Let’s explore all download options so you can choose what’s best you. Download methods explained Is there any other method we can use, if the install now option doesn’t work? Certainly. Autodesk has 3 methods: download now, browser download and install now. You can choose which method you want to use in subscription center. My favorite option is browser download, the traditional method. It is so far the most reliable for me. I use download manager software, so I can continue the download anytime. It allows me to control

I have got the download started for Inventor Pro 2015 but i am getting a network error 0 Serrano OP Aric4956 May 23, 2014 at 11:28 UTC Well... That could be many things... Is your internet connection working? How did you download it? Did you download it directly or through the Autodesk Download Manager. If you used the Download Manager, it can be buggy. It doesn't always work well. Sometimes freezes and such, can give network errors and such. If you used that first, try downloading using the direct method. If you tried it using direct first, try using the manager, it may work for you. If neither way works, then check your firewall settings to make sure that port 80 and 443 are open. It requires both of those to work properly. 0 Poblano OP cameronwalcott May 23, 2014 at 12:01 UTC I have resolved the issue by torrenting the software and using my key 0 Serrano OP Best Answer Aric4956 May 23, 2014 at 11:35 UTC So Autodesk Inventor 2015 works fine on Windows 8.1? Just curious to know if all is well? Thanks. 0 This discussion has been inactive for over a year. You may get a better answer to your question by starting a new discussion.
