I have cleaned the registry, uninstalled QuickTime, emptied temp folders and recycle bin, deleted Quicktime folder from Program Files, downloaded both Itunes8 upgrade and Quicktimes 7 and still the error appears. How can I have a newer version installed when I just downloaded the latest version? Prior to upgrade itunes was working just fine. Now it isn't working at all. Lesson learned: If it is not broken don't fix it. Last night I uninstalled everything, includeing iTunes 8 and then tried reinstalling Quicktime and again, with no success. This thing is a bear! It seems like many of us are having the same issue out there with no apparent resolution! Help Apple! Why do I get this message in SCCM:The program for advertisement "00220075" failed ("0020005D" - "Per-system unattended"). The failure description was "A newer version of QuickTime is already installed. This installation cannot proceed while the newer version of QuickTime is installed.".User context: NT-MYNDIGHET\SYSTEM Thursday, March 18, 2010 11:37 AM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote You would have to look at the QuickTime logfiles (if there are any). ConfigMgr just kicks-off the command line and the error message you're getting is caused by the Quicktime installer.
