Igmp Multicast Nlb
2 or more Hyper-V VMs, you would be likely to see errors saying that the interfaces are misconfigured and both cluster and dedicated IP addressess are unable to be added to TCP/IP. To workaround this issue, shut down the VMs. OpenupHyper-V managerand enable MAC spoofing on the interfaces that you want to load-balance as follows: Start the VMs. Remove the old cluster and form a new one. Solved Create a NLB cluster between two Win2k8 R2 servers in a workgroup Posted on 2012-08-31 Windows Server 2008 Windows Networking nlb error 1 Verified Solution 10 Comments 7,515 Views Last Modified: 2012-09-18 Hi! We have two Windows 2008 R2 Servers located in a DMZ. They are not joined to a domain and reside in a workgroup named "PROXY". We would like to create a Network Load Balancing cluster using the built-in feature in windows server (Network Load Balancing Manager). Both servers are provided with two physical NIC's and are nlb error interface not virtualized in any way. Server A: - NIC #1 is given a static IP (i.e 192.168.2.10) with gateway 192.168.2.1 and only provided with my ISP's DNS. - NIC #2 is left in DHCP mode. Server B: - NIC #1 is given a static IP (i.e 192.168.2.11) with gateway 192.168.2.1 and only provided with my ISP's DNS. - NIC #2 is left in DHCP mode. When I create a new cluster from Server A using the NLB Manager (logged in as local Admin) I add "ServerA" and choose to add NIC #2 to the cluster. I do not assign a dedicated IP. Finally I provide the IP for the cluster (i.e 192.168.2.100) and assign the full internet name (i.e cluster.domain.com). I select Unicast and finish the wizard using the default settings for port rules. I then get an error message saying "The inferface is misconfigures" and when i click the error message i get more information: "Cluster IP address (192.168.2.100) not added to TCPIP properties". The next error message on the line below reads: "The bind operation was successfull but the NLB is not responding to queries" with additional info: ----------------- Starting update... Going to bind NLB... Bind o

We are in the process of migration our email exchange servers from 2003 to 2010. We are implementing Microsoft NLB (network load balancing) on our CAS servers (Client Access servers). These two server are VM guest machines .Their physical VMware hosts are directly connected to 2k switches on port eth101/1/33-36. Our exchange consultant insisted us to add the following command into either 5k or 7k to allow NLB multicast traffic passing through to all end users hosts.here is the command requested by our consultant.Arp 10.156.2.132 03bf.0a9c.0284 ARPAMac-address-table static 03bf.0a9c.0284 Vlan 10 interface Ethernet101/1/33-36I tried to add the above commands into either 5k and 7k . it bounced back with "unrecognized command error".Note: Many users out there are experiencing the same issue we are having now.Below are some links regarding configuring NLB on Cisco switch with Microsoft and VMware:http://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=1006525https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2091841?decorator=print&displayFullThread=truehttp://arstechnica.com/civis/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1150623http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/switches/datacenter/sw/5_x/nx-os/unicast/configuration/guide/l3_ip.html#wp1196870https://communities.cisco.com/thread/16234http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps708/products_configuration_example09186a0080a07203.shtmlQuestion#1 Am I missing anything here that is stopping me from entering these commands?Question#2:Since my computer is connected via a static ip address and via Vlan1 port. I am able to ping NBL cluster host Ip address 10.156.2.132 but nobody else who are on other VLANs (subnets) 101,102,103,104,105 and vlan 50 (wireless subnet). I am about to add the following command to 5k switch, but want to know if these commands might make it work.switchport trunk allowed vlan 1,3,5,10-11,15,50,52 interface Ethernet101/1/33 description Link to ESX # 1 switchport mode trunkswitchport trunk allowed vlan 1,3,5,10-11,15,50,52 interface Ethernet101/1/34 description Link to ESX # 1 switchport mode trunkswitchport trunk allowed vlan 1,3,5,10-11,15,50,52interface Ethernet101/1/35 de
