writing to process file pid.nbf; domino server; notes client; start; error message; nsd; console; log.nsf; fail Technote (troubleshooting) Problem When you start a Domino server, or while the server is in session, the following error message is displayed on the server console or in log.nsf: "Error writing to process file pid.nbf". The pid.nbf file is the Process ID table of all Notes/Domino processes. For the lifetime of a Notes client/server, each process start or shutdown causes the process ID (PID) to be added to, or removed from the pid.nbf. Resolving the problem This issue is now fixed. Thatīs true! I gave modify rights to the "\program files\notes" directory for the group "users" and no error messages comes up any more!!! So when the error message pops up, the nlnhook.exe seems to cause this error, which comes from symantec. And this program seems to access anything in the notes folder. http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/DateAllFlatweb/8308f379c08819b8852573d300494af7?OpenDocument But I donīt know what.
