The Radio works but the fuel gauge will not go up and the car stops running chevrolet bus after a second or two. What should I do? Submitted: 8 years ago. Category:Jeep Share this conversation Expert: Jeff Robins replied8 years ago. "No Bus" is a very common message on chrysler vehicles. The first thing to try is a complete computer rest. This can be accomplished by disconnecting the negative battery cable, followed by the positive cable. Then Take the two cable ends and clamp them together for about 3 minutes. Reconnect in the reverse order and start the

vehicle. I have had a high rate of succes with this solution. Sometimes, the "no Bus" message is actually caused by a loss of communication between computer modules due to a true failure, but in MOST cases, it is simply a glitch in the system that confuses the cluster and requires a complete reboot such as this. Ask Your Own Jeep Question Customer: replied8 years ago. Reply to Jeff Robins's Post: I have a 2004 Jeep Liberty 3.7L V6 Engine just in case you needed that information. Basically you want me to disconnect the negative and positive cables, Clamp them together, and then put negative cable where positive was and positive cable where negative was? If this is the case, do I put them back to where they originally were? Expert: Jeff Robins replied8 years ago. No, sorry if that was confusing. You disconnect the cables, negative first, then positive, clamp them together for a few minutes, then put the positive back on the battery positive, then the negative. Again, sorry for the confusing instructions, I just read it again and I can see the confusion. Ask Your Own Jeep Question Customer: replied8 years ago. Should I do this while the car is turned on or while it is off? Expert: Jeff Robins replied8 years ago. While the car is off. The object of this sequence is to remove all power from all systems in the vehicle. Normall

Date: Oct 2011 Posts: 5 What is "Nobus" dashboard code I recently purchased a 2001 Sebring Convertable with the 2.7 V6 engine. Everything seemed to work great for about 600 http://www.justanswer.com/jeep/1cswj-no-bus-message-odometer-radio.html miles. After returning from a 200 mile trip, after shut down, the car wouldn't start. Long story short, and lots of reading on the forum, I think something went wrong with the anti-theft system. Disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes lets me start the car but I have no electrical to the radio, interior courtesy lights, or rear center break light. http://www.chryslerforum.com/forum/chrysler-200-sebring-14/what-nobus-dashboard-code-16005/ I'v checked fuses under the hood and driver side dash panel. All check OK> My engine code reader won't link and I have seen a dashboard code display "Nobus". The Haynes manual isn't much help on this problem. Any ideas from anyone? I'm a "Newbee". Thanks in advance. #2 10-15-2011, 10:18 AM dcotter0579 Senior Member 2002 Chrysler SebringMy Garage Join Date: May 2008 Location: Detroit suburb Posts: 4,158 "No Bus" refers to the data bus by which the computers communicate with each other and with the various components which they read and control. It's not working. Think of it as a single wire that runs through the car with tap off of it for pretty much everything that the computer communicates with. Signals run up and down the wire all the time and are coded so that they are only read by the component they are directed to. Why yours isn't working, I cannot guess. It could be a broken wire or a corroded connection or a bad signal from the computer or something else. #3 10-15-

In my case the problem caused the gauges to not work and shut the motor off after a few seconds. All you have to do is un plug the various moduals that interconnect the computer system. Unplug each module one at a time then turn the key on to see if "no bus" appears. Reconnect the module if "no bus" shows. When you un plug the defective item the PRND21 will appear. you are supposed to do this in this order. TCM, PCM, Radio ( If Infinity), CMTC, Instument cluster, Anti-lock brakes, heating AC controller, air bag modual ( wait 5 mins. to test this) and the body control module..My car has been unusable for the past six months. I first noticed the gauges malfuctioning, but the car would still run and would reset if I turned it off and restarted it. then six months ago it would not restart. It turns out that my problem was the radio. Yes, the stupid Radio caused the car to not run for six months!!! I plugged in an extra radio and now the car is fixed!! The funny thing is that the original radio worked fine.UPDATE! The original radio is now malfuctioning, I tried to find out why it rendered my car inoperable for six months and the tool I used (12# sledge) was unable to make it usable again. Now all you need is some nice warn sunny weather, and an open stretch of road to lose that radio on. Love your test tools, by the way. _________________2004 Dark Sapphire Sebring Touring: June 2008 COTM Armed Forces Car Club November 2008 ROTM 2.7L, 49,xxxmi. 1991 Red Lebaron 'vert - Hmmm...what to do?
