caused by electrical problems or bad connections in many places. The truck is always garaged, and cleaned and has only 18,300 miles on it so its hard for me to think that anything is worn out or shorted from weather exposure. about 3 or 4 months ago I did install and wire an aftermarket radio head unit but its worked fine since. Surely thats not the cause, but I don't know. The truck seems to run fine with this happens, but still, I don't wanna take it on the road at the moment either. Anyone out there experience this before? Anyone have any common recommendations or things to check first? Thanks a ton! -keith Place your ad here! Gauges are inoperative. No BUS message displayed on odometer. System: Body/Chassis Electrical, Emissions/PCM/Fuel, Engine Electrical Codes: N/A Problem 1 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. Test & Fix: If the 5v power supply circuit is shorted to ground, the CCD bus is unable to transmit messages and the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) appears to be "dead". The PCM is not damaged when the 5v power supply gets shorted to ground, but does need to be reset by turning the key off for 10 second after the short is removed. Using a DVOM or labscope, measure the voltage on the 5v reference wire at the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) or Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) sensor. If 5v is not present, unplug the Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor. Turn the key off for 10 seconds. Turn the key on and measure the voltage on the 5v power supply circuit. If the voltage is now 5v, replace the CKP sensor. Problem 2 of 6: The 5v power supply from the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) is shorted due to a shorted Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor. Truck in sig has 81,500 miles on it and everything was normal as I parked it last night for 2 hours. Reasonably warm temps. Came out and started it back up, all sounds normal, but the dash is completely dead. It backlights just fine, but none of the actual gauges (tach, speedo, pressure, fuel, temp, volts) the needle stays all the way to the left. The check engine idiot light, ABS, low fuel, and something else stay lit. The PCM flashes "No BUS" and then stays on as "No BUS". Truck runs completely normal. Lights, everythi

In the last month the truck suddenly shuts off while driving 3 times. when I try and restart the motor turns but it will not start and I get a "no bus" code on the odometer. After multiple attempts (5-10 min) it turns on.The dealer said they can't find anything wrong and It could be the pcm (they need to check the truck when it's dead). I'v looked into replacing the pcm, I'v been told it has to be flashed with the car & I'v
