0x80004005 Answers : I just bought a wintv hvr 1800 and when I started to record a program I would get the Dshow error unspecified error 0x80004005. I came across a forum that said to clean your system registry so that there are no errors/problems. I used the free trial of WinASO (which only lets you fix 10 errors at a time--I had 120 or so errors when I ran the first scan) and now I don't get the Dshow error any more.
