Error description Problem description Datastage job is finishing successfully even though it encounters a fatal error "buffer(0),2: APT_BufferFile: unable to create file 0000000000002ea0: No space left on device". Ideally a job should abort when it encounters a fatal error. Local fix Demote via message handler Problem summary An Error message is demoted to Warning in order to allow program to function correctly. Problem conclusion The GUI is interpreting Parallel Extender's Error messages as fatal. However, this is a recoverable situation, and logic was in place to recover from this. [ENOSPC] No space left on device Attempting to Cleanup after ABORT raised in job SIEB_31_Party_SEQ..JobControl Cause The directory which is defined in the DSEngine/uvconfig file by http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21650530 UVTEMP, the default being /tmp, could not be written to because the disk has become full. Diagnosing the problem Check the storage in the UVTEMP directory Resolving the problem Use the following technote to change the location of temporary files created, if required.
