solution. I´m using Cacti v0.8.5a (Debian) with rrdtool version 1.0.48. The steps to the graph and the problem: - Create device -> Add -> Host Template "Cisco Router" - Add Graph Template: "Interface - Traffic (bytes/sec)" - Create Graphs for this Host - Data Query [SNMP - Interface Statistics] -> Select a graph type: "In/Out Bytes" -> Create - Graph Management in debug mode: "RRDTool Says: ERROR: opening cacti graphs not showing data '/usr/share/cacti/rra/swbo05_traffic_in_39.rrd': No such file or directory" So i had a look at the created data source in debug mode -> "Data Source Debug toolpath/rrdtool create \ path/cacti/rra/***_traffic_in_39.rrd \ --step 300 \ DS:traffic_in:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_out:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_out:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_in:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_in:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_out:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_out:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ DS:traffic_in:COUNTER:600:0:100000000 \ RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:1:600 \ RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:6:700 \ RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:24:775 \ RRA:AVERAGE:0.5:288:797 \ RRA:MAX:0.5:1:600 \ RRA:MAX:0.5:6:700 \ RRA:MAX:0.5:24:775 \ RRA:MAX:0.5:288:797 \" running this command at shell -> "ERROR: Duplicate DS name: traffic_out" So i guess there´s a problem with the template. Anyone out there who can help me getting this right? tia, Marcus Top Thomas Lin Post subject: Posted: Tue Sep 14, 2004 10:41 pm Hi, I think we face the same problem. I find that there are duplicate "Data Source Item" in data templates. The problem is disappeared when i remove duplicate item. It is located in Templates-->Data Templates-->Interface - Traffic There are more than one set of traffic-in and traffic-out. If i delete duplicate item and try to configure devices and data sources, it is OK. I hope it is workable for you. Thanks. I tried several manuals which is available online but I always end up the same problem. My Graphs is not showing anything and it's only showing a broken link icon. I did try running the poller.php manually and made sure my rra folder is writable but I am always getting this error.
