It works with GET, but we really want POST. I have ripped out all of the code until there is http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12221692/http-error-405-0-method-not-allowed-post-fails nothing left but an input and a submit, but it always gets the 405 error. You can use GET and pass values through the command line that Javascript can read off, however. EDIT: More details. GET passes values through the URL. I am getting the error as HTTP error 405.0- Method Not Allowed “invalid method (HTTP verb)”. Solution: 1. Make sure that you had selected these below given option while configuring the IIS. 2. Go to RUN >> INETMGR>> select the Handler Mapping option as given it in the below image. 3.Here you can see that CGI-exe and ISAPI-dll as disabled. Right click on that and select the option ‘Edit featured permission'.
error after confirming the License Agreement, along with the message "The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) is being used", then there is a problem with your server configuration.Specifically, your sever has been set to reject POST requests to non-asp pages (MIDAS doesn't use or require asp (Active Server Pages)). MIDAS utilizes .pl (Perl) scripts, and this error indicates that your IIS is in fact not actually configured to handle *.pl files for the POST method.Configuring your server/Perl mappings to permit the POST verb to .pl files should resolve this issue and allow you to install your MIDAS system. In your Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, select "Handler Mappings", and scroll down to the entry for *.pl files. Double click this entry and an "Edit Script Map" window will appear. Click the "Request Restrictions" button in this window, then on the "Verb" tab of the resulting window, make sure "Specify the verbs to be handled" is set to "All Verbs"You might also be interested in...I'm seeing a "404 Not Found" message when trying to access the installer via my browser I'm seeing a 404.17 or a 404.3 "Not Found" message when trying to access the installer via my browser Installation TroubleshootingMIDAS » KB » Support » 00043 | Last Reviewed: 17th February 2015 00:37 UTCWas this information helpful?
