Windows XP Pro SP3 desktop with no problems. We have tried the "set the Zoom to 100% or less" resolution that has been mentioned all over the web and it does not work. We are still having this issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this in Excel 2010. I have seen the "solutions" for Excel XP, 7, 2000, 2003 and 2007 and they don't seem to work, or at least the ones I have tried! :-) Would welcome all serious suggestions. Mahalo Nui Loa! These two spreadsheets don't really have a lot of data or any major calculations in them. One spreadsheet has two worksheets and the larger of the two has only about 50 rows with about 15 columns and simple SUM calculations. The other has about 6 worksheets and the other spreadsheet has about 5 worksheets with the larger worksheet having50 rows with about a dozen columns and only one SUM calculation. They are not complicated spreadsheets to say the least. Plus, I think I may have mentioned

Excel 2007-2016 users tend to see them more than Excel 2003 users. Microsoft re-wrote large portions of Excel when they released 2007. This re-write appears to have affected memory usage. The conclusion we reached from the much testing is that COM add-ins are the major cause of memory issues. COM add-ins sneak onto your PC without permission (or clearly asking). Routinely check and remove them. The two COM add-ins we have seen that cause memory issues are Adobe and Blue Tooth. We have never seen a need for them in Excel. They should be removed immediately. COM add-ins are compiled computer code that manages their own memory. Often at the expense of Excel, especially if they are badly written. Ususally you can run one COM add-in without issues. Two is like walking on thin ice. Three or more - just wait for the crash. It will happen. VBA add-ins (the kind we write) are not compiled and are called Excel add-ins and do not cause memory issues. Excel manages memory for them. We have had all of our add-ins open at one time and no memory issues. The following are steps one can take that may solve memory problems. It is also possible that none of these steps will solve. Memory problems are often difficult to solve. We ha

One of our clients is having an issue where she keeps getting https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/365270-excel-running-out-of-available-resources-constantly the "Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other applications" error and we cannot get it to go away! It's not a hardware issue- we have taken several steps to ensure this and even given her a new laptop which presents the same issue. It's not a software issue- we've uninstalled/re installed Office multiple times. No roaming files- we've deleted the roaming files not enough for Excel countless times, which seems to provide a tiny bit of relief for a certain amount of time, but not for long. It's not a file issue- the workbooks she is trying to open are pretty large yes, however they are used by 70+ people every day, none of whom get this error. Basically all I can think this might be is a case of user error, but not enough resources I can't for the life of me figure out what she is doing to cause this. Even with all applications closed and trying to open one network workbook she has just got the same error. Has anybody encountered a similar issue? Thoroughly stumped! Help me Spiceworks please!?!
