PowerCenter 8.1.1 Installation Error Francois Labrecque asked Aug 23, 2007 | Replies (13) Hi everyone! I'm trying to install PowerCenter on my PC and it doesn't work. I need help to figure out what is wrong. I downloaded the pc811_windows32.zip file from Informatica FTP. I unzipped the file on my C:\ drive. When I try to install it on my Vista PC, just after selecting where on the PC I want the program install, I get a "Not enough disk space" error message. It requires 971 megs to install, but as available space, only see 0 megs. That's really weird, because I have over 200 Gigs of free space. Any idea what's the real problem? NobbysZ33 replied Aug 23, 2007 Vista isn't supported, so strange errors like that will occur. Top

This is happening during a kickstart install where the user has specified volumes with the --useexisting option. The sizes are not properly initialized in all cases and this error can show up. Consequence: Installation does not proceed. Workaround (if any): Add an appropriate --size parameter to the logvol or part command where the error occurred. The size should closely match the size of the existing volume or volume you are creating. Result: Installation will proceed. Credit: Rob Schultz Comments Jared Newman | @onejarednewman PCWorld Jun 28, 2016 4:00 PM By now, most people who want Windows 10 on their PCs (and some who don’t) have probably installed the upgrade by now. But there is at least one notable exception: If you don’t have enough free storage space on your hard drive, the installation won’t complete. This may result in a “Windows needs more space” dialog box, or one of several error codes (including 0x80070070 – 0x50011, 0x80070070 – 0x50012, or 0x80070070 – 0x60000). Time’s running out to clear some space and complete the installation. Here’s what you can do to make sure the upgrade goes through: Wi
