Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) This document discusses possible causes of the ODBC S1001 and HY001
Access 2013 Not Enough Space On Disk
Memory Allocation errors. Resolving the problem ODBC 2.0 applications using Client there isn't enough disk space or memory access 2013 Access Express may experience a ODBC S1001 Memory allocation failure on a SQLAllocStmt call. ODBC 3.5 error 3183 applications using Client Access Express V5R1 or later will see the error reported as HY001 Memory Allocation Failure on a SQLAllocHandle API. Quite often, the database server https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/114285 joblog contains the following related warning message: PWS0083 - Additional 16 megabytes of storage allocated. The possible causes for this message are: Out of Memory and Application Statement Handle Leak. Out of Memory The obvious explanation is that the PC is actually out of memory and Client Access was not able to allocate the http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=nas8N1018327 memory needed for the statement handle. This could be because the workstation is not sized correctly for the application or it could be the result of an application programming bug leading to a memory leak. The database server job will typically not show a large number of open files nor a PWS0083 message. Application Statement Handle Leak The more common reason for the Memory Allocation Failure is an application error involving an ODBC statement handle leak. The application continues to allocate new statement handles but never releases the existing handles' resources. Note that only the SQL_DROP option of the SQLFreeStmt API actually frees all memory associated with the handle. SQL_CLOSE and SQL_UNBIND do not. Because each statement handle allocated by the application also results in memory allocated on the server, the database server program may contain one or more PWS0083 messages. In theory, Client Access ODBC could continue to allocate new statement handles until a PC actually runs out of m

Each model run, data is loaded into the model from a Microsoft Access 2010 database using an SQL query not enough space and the Jet Database Engine 4.0. The connection between the software and the database is made with ODBC. I need to run the model for thousands of locations, but after tens of model runs I get the error: “[ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Not enough space on temporary disk”. After restarting the model, the computation runs ok for the same query and data set, but I quickly get the error again. The amount of data that is loaded differs per model run, with a maximum of ~30.000 records. When loading in only small datasets of max. 1000 records, the error does not occur. The following did not work: increasing the MaxLocksPerFile in the windows registry increasing the MaxBufferSize Compacting and repairing the .mdb file there is enough space on my temporary disk Interestingly, I did not have any problems with the same model on my old system (32-bit Windows XP). Only on this computer (64-bit Windows 7, 16 Gb RAM) the error occurs. The modelling software is 32-bit, and the ODBC connection is set with odbcad32.exe in “c:\Windows\SysWOW64\” directory. It seems there is a memory leak in the Windows7 version, as the same model and data works fine on an older Windows XP computer with less memory. An
On my website I use Access databases that are searched by users for a variety of information. ODBC drivers are used with the databases. I need to know if this is an error for my server or the databases or ODBC drivers or a combination. [State=S1001][Error=-1036][Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access 7.0 Driver] Too many client tasks.
