If an acces DB goes over 2 gigs it will give this error too. Maybe the network is not the problem, maybe you have personal space allotments on the network which is full? namliam View Public Profile Visit namliam's homepage! This error occurs when the MS Access query runs out of temporary memory. An example of the error message is shown below: Microsoft not enough OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '8007000e' [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Not enough space on temporary disk. /yourscript.asp, line 33 This error message indicates that the scripts has run into problems due to a lack of temporary disk space. This does not indicate that the server has run out of space but that Access cannot cope with any more not enough space temporary files or a temporary file that is any larger. The most common and simplest to cure cause is that writable record sets are being opened where they are not necessary. You should try to minimize the number of JET*.tmp files you need to create. For example, when opening the database solely to retrieve data (no UPDATE, INSERT or DELETE), do so in adModeRead mode. This way, Access will use the least amount of temporary files, since it doesn't need to prepare room or logic for changing existing data. Here is an example of opening an Access database in adModeRead mode: <% set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") conn.mode = 1 ' adModeRead conn.open "

(but of course there is) HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Jet\4.0\Engines\Jet 4.0 Set up to 50000 Does nothing. (this from the MS help webpage for this issue) Copied all tables into new MDB; no difference. Copied data into new table structure that uses much fewer total characters; does nothing. Max 80 field, one memo, 90000 records. Removed recently added fields, does nothing. I can delete fields but cant change field length. This is happening both on 2007 and on 2003; 2003 file type. barret bondon, Feb 22, 2011 #1 Advertisements John W. The reason is that if you change a datatype in a table, Access must keep two copies (old and new) of the entire table in memory at the same time. The solution is to create a new, empty table with the new datatypes (copy and paste the existing table, design view only, and change the datatypes), and then run an Append query to migrate the data. When you verify that the data is all there and correct, delete the old table; rename the new one; reestablish any relationships, and compact the database. -- John W.
