This discussion is locked allas,She came to me with help Level 1 (0 points) Q: Photoshop is saying there's not enough RAM mmm, this shouldn't be happenin Ok, so i got a message coming up on photoshop not enough ram illustrator after i tried to import an image and it said "Could not import the clipboard because could not initialize photoshop because there is not enough memory (ram) there is not enough memory (RAM).", so went to shop got a GB of ram. Now its in my G5 imac (not the isite)

I'm pretty sure that there is a maximum RAM setting in the preferences. I know that Photoshop Elements has one in the preferences under "Memory & Image Cache". Theres Cache settings above it and its on 'levels: 6' mabby that has somthing to do with it? It usually means you had a big old gob of text from Word in the clipboard when you launched photoshop. Word tends to give PS indigestion (probably from all those extraneous invisible characters)

I'm using CS6 Extended 64-bit and my comp specs are:Windows 7 Pro16 gigs of DDR3 memoryIntel i-7 second gen chipATI Radeon 5500 with 2 gigs onboard memoryAnd all of my stuff is up to date - including PS. But the memory error may not necessarily be ram. It could be insufficient scratch disk space, or hd space, or the process just gets bogged down and
