Each model run, data is loaded into the model from a Microsoft Access 2010 database using an SQL query and the Jet Database Engine 4.0. The connection between the software and the database is made with ODBC. I need to run the model for thousands of locations, but after tens of model runs I get the error: “[ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Not enough space on temporary disk”. After restarting the model, the computation runs ok for the same query and data set, but I quickly get the error again. The amount of data that is loaded differs per model run, with a maximum of ~30.000 records. When loading in only small datasets of max. 1000 records, the error does not occur. The following did not work: increasing the MaxLocksPerFile in the windows registry increasing the MaxBufferSize Compacting and repairing the .mdb file there is enough space on my temporary disk Interestingly, I did not have any problems with the same model on

get 'Not enough space on temporary disk' errors? This error occurs when the MS Access query runs out of temporary memory. An example of the error message is shown below: http://dba.stackexchange.com/questions/60849/odbc-microsoft-access-driver-not-enough-space-on-temporary-disk Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers error '8007000e' [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Not enough space on temporary disk. /yourscript.asp, line 33 This error message indicates that the scripts has run into problems due to a lack of temporary disk space. This does not indicate that the server has run out of space but that Access cannot cope with https://my.slightlydifferent.co.nz/knowledgebase/38/Why-do-I-get-Not-enough-space-on-temporary-disk-errors.html any more temporary files or a temporary file that is any larger. The most common and simplest to cure cause is that writable record sets are being opened where they are not necessary. You should try to minimize the number of JET*.tmp files you need to create. For example, when opening the database solely to retrieve data (no UPDATE, INSERT or DELETE), do so in adModeRead mode. This way, Access will use the least amount of temporary files, since it doesn't need to prepare room or logic for changing existing data. Here is an example of opening an Access database in adModeRead mode: <% set conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") conn.mode = 1 ' adModeRead conn.open "

I am running CF MX 7 on Win2k3. The only fix so far is to restart all the CF processes and flush the Caching in Server settings in CFMX 7. Anyone have an idea what is wrong? Here is the error on all my webpages that execute a database query. Have you checked to see how much room you have left on the drive(s) that the db resides on? How much ram is free? Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. Re: Not enough space on temporary disk error X452 Apr 2, 2007 5:57 AM (in response to rmorgan) Yes that is all fine. I did however do the following to resolve the problem. in CFMX 7 Administrator under Server Settings there is a menu for Caching, I just flushed the cache. That summarily has resolved the issue. But that doesnt seem to be an answer for me. There must be some tangible reasoning behind why this has occurred. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 3.
