your not alone. I recently needed to address this problem for a client who was simply trying to forward an email http://guysimplify.com/the-message-could-not-be-sent-there-is-not-enough-memory/ with attachments and images totaling over 20MB. As it turns out, https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/22110111/Outlook-Express-Errors-out-of-memory.html somehow his Outbox.dbx became corrupted. In the following simple solution, I'll show you how we resolved the message could not be sent email problem. Fixing message could not be sent. There is not enough memory error: I am assuming your using outlook express and Windows XP. not enough If not, these instructions may differ. Open Outlook Express Navigate to (1) Tools (2) Options (3) Maintenance. (4) Click the Store Folder Button (5) Left mouse click and highlight the Store Location path Right mouse click and select Copy Close Outlook Express Open an Explorer Window. Right click and Paste the path into the address bar, then press not enough memory Enter Delete Outbox.dbx (it will be recreated automatically when you send mail in the next step) Open Outlook Express and try to send or forward an email. If all goes well, the Error "The message could not be sent. There is not enough memory" should not appear and your email messages sent or forwarded as usual. Solved Outlook Express Errors - out of memory Posted on 2007-01-03 Windows OS 1 Verified Solution 13 Comments 4,985 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-29 I have a problem with Outlook Express. When it is open, the message preview window shows nothing, and when a message or a contact name is double clicked, I get these error messages…. “One or more parts of this message could not be opened” “There was an error opening this message. There is not enough memory” When OE is closed off, it is still running in the background and another instance cannot be started until I go into the task manager and end the “Msimn.exe” process. Then it loads up but with the same problem. I have run a full trend micro online scan and found nothing. This occurs in safe mode as well. I have compacted mailboxes several times, as well as backed up the mailbox store and uninstalled OE and then reinstalled with new identity and still the same problem. I have loaded the DBX store onto another computer and identity and it worked fine. Am I looking at a full format here or is there something else I can do? Please any help would be apprec…. Thanks!
