Outlook Has Insufficient Memory Attachment
Creating your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now Hello All, A user outlook memory full error on a one year old, powerful IBM Thinkpad laptop, running Windows 7 w/ 4GBs of RAM started getting " THERE IS NOT cannot display the folder there is not enough free memory outlook 2016 ENOUGH FREE MEMORY TO RUN THE PROGRAM. QUIT ONE OR MORE PROGRAMS AND THEN TRY AGAIN." error in Outlook 2007. We uninstalled Outlook and installed to a different directory. This worked for two days and https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2968387 the error returned. Last time when this happened to him a year ago, reinstalling Outlook helped, but this time the problem returned two days later. The system has plenty of available RAM (2.5GBs) and no other apps are running. This is a personal laptop, which connects to a POP3/SMTP account and uses PST files to store data. (Not Exchange). Anybody familiar with this issue? Can a windows update be causing https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/140021-how-to-fix-not-enough-memory-error-in-outlook this? Thank you! The "virtual memory" under Computer-> Properties -> Advanced System Settings -> Advanced -> Performance Options -> Advanced -> Virtual Memory, should be set to at least 2GB, and up to 4GB. Can you check this setting and post back? 0 Chipotle OP AlexJBC May 18, 2011 at 9:35 UTC I've had the issue here with a couple laptops with windows 7 32 bit and 4G of RAM. We had Dell replace the motherboard and replace the memory and still had the same issue. Dell suggested that we reformat the drive and load the 64 bit version of windows 7. Once we did that, we haven't had a problem since. We have plenty desktops that are on the 32 bit OS and this never happens. Only with the laptops. Of course if you're running the 64 bit OS, this means absolutely nothing to you... ;-) 0 Pimiento OP de
of memory?> Why is Outlook 2007 running out of memory? I am using a Thinkpad T60P laptop with 2GB of memory and 120GB harddrive. (Harddrive has about 60GB free). I am running WinXP with SP3. Whenever I attempt to start Outlook I get an error message that pops up that tells me that I am "...out of memory or system resources". I cannot expand not enough my folders, I cannot move folders. I basically cannot do anything or I get an out of memory error. Outlook is the only application listed as running on the Application tab in the Task Manager. I have two .pst files: one is 1,009K and the other is 324,937K which are obviously small-ish .pst files. (I am running 3 .pst files on my desktop (that only has 512MB there is not of memory) that are all larger than 1,000,000K and I get no problems at all--although I am using Outlook 2003 on the desktop). I have run an AV scan and have no virus. I have also run Ad-Aware, Spybot, and MalWareByte's Anti-Malware and have no mal-ware. Is there a setting in Outlook that I have somehow overlooked? I am running the Business Contact Manager in Outlook but this system should have more than enough memory to handle Outlook running by itself? What am I missing. Please help me as I am aggravated byond belief at this point. More about : outlook 2007 running memory apscolari June 17, 2009 11:50:37 PM I have exactly the same problem. I'm running a powerful workstation notebook, 4gb RAM, XP SP2. It is just a matter of opening outlook for a few hours and it brings my machine down. i have several small PSTs, none of them bigger than 600MB. it is a shame, outlook 2007 is a disaster, in fact the whole office 2007 it is a disaster regarding performance and memory. I think there is a huge memory leak somewhere in their code and it does not look like Microsoft is
