My entity class fatal error: class 'jms\serializer\annotation\type' not found in is as follows: namespace Ampisoft\Bundle\etrackBundle\Entity; use Doctrine\ORM\Mapping as ORM; /** * @ORM/Entity * @ORM/Table(name="users") */ class Users { /** * @ORM/Column(type="integer") * @ORM/ID * @ORM/GeneratedValue(strategy="AUTO") */ protected $id; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=25, unique=true) */ protected $username; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=64) */ protected $password; /** * @ORM\Column(name="is_active", type="boolean") */ private $isActive; /** * @ORM\Column(type="string", length=60, unique=true) */ protected $email; /** * @ORM\Column(type="datetime") */ protected $lastLogged; } Ive looked around on SO and found solutions that match a similar issue but relating to properties, and also one relating to zend but nothing relating to the actual class decleration in symfony2. Ive installed and updated all vendor packages using composer. would anyone be able to please point me in the right direction? Im new to symfony. Don't know if that would help anything but it doesn't hurt to try... ;) –Jovan Perovic Nov 7

This is happening because the following "use" is missing: use Sensio\Bundle\FrameworkExtraBundle\Configuration\Method; Symfony member weaverryan commented Aug 22, 2011 This is actually an issue with the SensioFrameworkExtraBundle, and I've just made a pull request to that semantical error the repo to fix this: sensiolabs/SensioFrameworkExtraBundle#58 Thanks! fabpot closed this Aug 23, 2011 anushr commented Aug 23, 2011 Awesome, thanks! I was wanting to make the change myself but was not able to locate the doc in this repo. Good to know that I should also look in the SensioFrameworkExtraBundle source. brian-lamb-software-engineer commented Jan 16, 2014 ok so does this have anything to do with adding any comments starting with an @ on a given controller which is routed as using annotation routes? i.e. i have a comment @manual http://us2.php.net/manual/en/book.curl.php on one of my controllers and i get this error [Semantical Error] The annotation "@manual" in method ApiBundle... was never imported. Did you maybe forget to add a "use" statement for this annotation?) Symfony member wouterj commented Jan 16, 2014 @wolfdogg you should add the @manual comment to the ignored list. Read more about that in http://docs.doctrine-project.org/projects/doctrine-common/en/latest/reference/annotations.html Or, if you only use it once, you can use the @IgnoreAnnotation annotation to temporary ignore that annotation.

So when i use the $this->app['serializer']->serialize($items, 'json'), i got an error on my entities : AnnotationException: [Semantical Error] The annotation "@Entity" in class Scrilex\Entity\Project was never imported. Did you maybe forget to add a "use" statement for this annotation? Any idea ? Pink Tie member marijn commented Oct 10, 2012 Annotations are references to classes. So when your doc block contains an annotation @Entity it tries to load the Entity class. Since it's not loaded, you should add a use statement for that annotation. You can refer to the Symfony Documentation on Doctrine Entity mapping for a good example. There you see an example where the ORM Mapping entities are imported using use Doctrine\ORM\Mapping as ORM; and referred to in the docblocks as @ORM\Entity. marijn closed this Oct 10, 2012 amenophis commented Oct 10, 2012 This is my code after add annotations Prefix /** * @ORM\Id * @ORM\GeneratedValue(strategy="AUTO") * @ORM\Column(type="integer") * * @JMS\Type("integer") */ protected $id; I got this error while it worked properly before use JMS Serializer : MappingException: No identifier/primary key specified for Entity "Scrilex\Entity\Project" sub class of "". Every Entity must have an identifier/primary key. amenophis commented Oct 10, 2012 Sorry, i missed an annotation, but i got this error: MappingException: Class "Scrilex\Entity\Task" sub class of "" is not a valid entity or mapped super class.
