answers are voted up and rise to the top Virtual Host - Server not found up vote 3 down vote favorite I'm running different websites on my webserver using Apache VirtualHosts. Now I have troubles getting one site to work. When I browse to the site in Firefox it says "Firefox can't find the server at www.mydomain.com", even though it's spelled correctly. Further traceroute and ping how to fix error 404 in xampp both resolve to the correct IP, so I doubt it is because of a DNS issue. I copied the VirtualHost-config file from a working site and just changed the domains and path on the server, which is existent. Further I checked that the site is enabled (with a2ensite), restartet apache, reloaded apache, but it is still not working. Here's my VirtualHost-File:

It's good that Nicholas Brown informs us that he's running on Debian x64, but the question itself is not related to Debian. He's not asking a question regarding how Debian works / behaves etc. This question is entirely directed at getting apache up and running. 28, 2010. LinuxOnMyMac New Member Hi, I know there's something I need to do to be able to get access to my blog directories on my Centos 5.4 x86_64 dedicated server. I have set up subdirectories like "www.thisismyblog.com/blogdirectory" and, when I put that URL into the browswer window on either my Mac or Windows boxes, I get "404 Not Found.
