I your operating system's lex is insufficient to compile libsfbpf get the following message: pam_cap.c:19:34: fatal error: security/pam_modules.h: No such file or directory compilation terminated. I then did a file search and found the files in my /usr/include/security/ so I know they are checking for capable lex... insufficient there, just not sure why they aren't getting picked up. So I hardcoded the path to the pam files in in both pam_cap.c and test.c and within the files in /usr/include/security/. This then produced the error: OpenELEC.tv/build.OpenELEC-ION.i386-devel/toolchain/lib/gcc/i686-openelec-linux-gnu/4.5.2/../../../../i686-openelec-linux-gnu/bin/ld: cannot find -lpam collect2: ld returned 1 exit status make[3]: *** [testcompile] Error 1 I couldn't really find much info on the LD binary, but I tried to remove the -lpam

from the pam_cap/makefile and that didn't work either. At this point I'm out of ideas and could use some help being pointed in the right direction. The administrator has disabled public write access. Re: Error Compiling Libcap 5 years 5 months ago #2 chrisboy hi mcorcoran, Have u found any solution for this? Because I am also facing the same problem. Are you installing in virtual machine? I am not sure if it relates to virtual machine. Thanks The administrator has disabled public write access. Re: Error Compiling Libcap 5 years 4 months ago #3 travisghansen mcorcoran The problem is it's detecting pam from the local machine and trying to build with pam support. To fix you need to edit packages/devel/libcap/build And append sed -i -e "/^PAM_CAP/s:=.*:=no:" Make.Rules just after cd $PKG_BUILD Enjoy! The administrator has disabled public write access.
