I have built the .framework file

and imported it into the new project, The framework appears to link okay, and I can reference the public header file I added to the framework build phases section. However, when I try to run the container Application I get the following Error: dyld: Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/TestMacFramework.framework/Versions/A/TestMacFramework Referenced from: /Users/samharman/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/TestMacContainer-dzabuelobzfknafuhmgooqhqrgzl/Build/Products/Debug/TestMacContainer.app/Contents/MacOS/TestMacContainer Reason: image not found After a bit of googling I realised I needed to add a Copy Files section to my container application build phases, so I have done this and set it up like so... However, I am still getting the runtime error. I'm obviously doing something wrong here, but the Apple developer library resource for this references Xcode 2, so isn't very helpful! What have I missed? UPDATE: I can see in the build log that my TestMacFramework.framework is being copied into the .app contents/frameworks directory, but it isn't being installed to the Library/Frameworks directory on the HD UPDATE 2: The build links correctly if I manually copy the TestMacFramework.framework into the Library/Frameworks directory osx frameworks xcode5 share|improve this question edited Jul 28 '14 at 12:13 asked Ju

I have tried all the suggestions above, they wont fix my problem. I finally found the solution: Quit Xcode. Open the BasketballTeams.xcodeproj folder (either in Finder with control click Show Contents of Package, or cd down into the directory with terminal) and delete the files that begin with your username (i.e Felipe.*) delete the build directory Open the project again in Xcode and try Build and Run again Actually I suggest you to reset you simulator and clean all targets as well. It works for me, you may find the original post here: http://forums.pragprog.com/forums/83/topics/1095 share|improve this answer answered Mar 31 '10 at 22:12 user232633 This worked for me, thanks. –nevan king Jul 6 '10 at 17:11 1 Simply quitting Xcode then deleting the *.pbxuser and *.perspectivev3 files worked. –Gerald Kaszuba Oct 17 '10 at 21:11 resetting simulator stackoverflow.com/a/9088416/857865 –Kassem Oct 27 '12 at 14:29 Make sure your Frameworks are added as 'optional' where required also. –Remover Feb 19 '13 at 9:43 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote Try deleting your project 'build' directory and building again, this resolved the problem for me. I tried re-adding the frameworks mentioned in each error message but this eventually went round in circles with XCode complaining about missing frameworks that I had

Cleaning the build doesn't fix it, the binaries are loaded and set to copy. Runs fine in the iPad simulator, but fails on the actual device. A real pain. Image not found Apple Staff (130 points) jeremyhu Jul 24, 2015 1:21 PM (in response to miklnk) Are you building Vorbis.framework yourselves, or are you getting it prepackaged. It looks to me like it was built incorrectly. It has a dylib id of /Library/Frameworks/Vorbis.framework/Vorbis, and there's no way for you to install it into that location on a device. It should be @rpath-relative or a static library that gets linked into your executable. This helped me Show 0 Likes (0) Actions Go to original post More Like This Retrieving data ... universal app (ios, mac) I created a project that generates a framework (mac) and a static library (ios). The problem came upon review and receiving the following error from a stacktrace from the reviewer: Dyld Error Message: Library not loaded: /Library/Frameworks/[framework-name].framework/Versions/A/[framework-name] Referenced from: /[path]/[app-name].app/Contents/MacOS/[app-name] Reason: image not found Solution The problem was due to the Installation Directory not being set correctly. You can find this setting under the Frameworks Build Settings. What I had was: $(LOCAL_LIBRARY_DIR)/Frameworks and what I needed was: @executable_path/../Frameworks I found the solution on Stack Overflow and further information from Apple. The Apple documentation is useful so it’s worth a read over The following has been extracted from the links mentioned above and should be enough to help fix this issue. Building The Framework Add a target to create a Cocoa Framework Within that targets ‘Build Settings’ configure the ‘Installation Directory’ to [emailprotected]_path/../Frameworks’ Build library, and access the .framework from the archive or products directory Including The Framework Drag the created .framework file into the Xcode Project, be sure to tick ‘Copy Files to Directory’ In the containing applications target, add a new ‘Copy File Build Phase’ Set the ‘Destination’ to ‘Frameworks’ Drag in the created .framework Related Xcode Warnings With Swift UISearchController Error Exchange Issues On OSX Facebook Invalid Redirect URI Refresh favicon in browser Using Gmail With a Custom Domain OSX Keyboard Icons Handy Xcode Snippets Push Segue Without Animation Hidden Chrome Features Contact [emailprotected] Github trentmilton This is a place to collect my notes on development and anything else I can think of.
