I am able to get the internet on both windows could not start the server service on local computer error 2 but not file sharing? On one, it shows up under network places but the other just hangs and beeps when I try to open it. So, after hours searching the web, I found that the problem was most likely (I think) that the computer that hangs will not allow me to use the start tab under computer browser in management. I get "Could not start the Computer Browser service on Local Computer. Error 1068: The dependency service or group failed to start". If anyone can held out I would GREATLY appreciate their help. Thanks! What are the names of the services you are dealing with? Double click the service - go to the "Dependencies" tab - Check the service names list under "This service depends on the following system components" and then make sure that all the services listed there are already started.
