Product team blog The Windows Firewall Service Fails to start – Introduction ★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ June 8, 2011 by MichaelPlatts [msft] // 2 Comments 0 0 0 There can be several causes that will prevent the Windows Firewall from starting and I will attempt to cover them in this series of five blog posts. In this first post, I will cover Windows XP and Windows Vista / Windows 7 separately as they are two different services. Last I will cover one issue with OneCare. Note: Specifics on Windows Vista and Windows 7will come in a later blog post. Ics Service Not Starting Windows Xp
to vote I searched and none of the 'answers' given can solve my problem. Basically I was sharing my error 1075 the dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion LAN network through my wireless pci card. Since my wireless pci card broadcasts dual band a/b/g/n I figured it would help with my iphone and my other wireless networks. However one https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/networking/2011/06/08/the-windows-firewall-service-fails-to-start-introduction/ day it just stopped and I didn't quite have the time to fix it. But now I don't remember when it stopped working and I tried a system restore. Short of reformatting, which I really don't want to do, I'm stuck. When I try to activate sharing it tells me, "Windows could not start the Internet Connectino Sharing (ICS) service on Local Computer. Error https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windows/en-US/7e856d2b-ff10-43ad-a880-23597c814a7f/windows-could-not-start-the-internet-connection-sharing-ics-service?forum=w7itpronetworking 1075: The dependency service does not exist or has been marked for deletion." All my services for networking are on except this one. I tried the sfc /scan now, and it says nothing is wrong. I tried restoring to the earliest restore point I had... no luck. My computer doesn't have a virus. Please... help me Tuesday, May 15, 2012 6:18 PM Reply | Quote Answers 0 Sign in to vote Hi, To repair the firewall first, and then the ICS.
