" After finishing installation wizard and whenopeningdns service console from Administrative Tools a Connect to DNS Server appears and when clocking Ok the DNS console is opened with a red cross in the dns server icon.
Network Error 1222 Nfsif you try to start the service manually another error window appears stating : Could not start microsoft dns server service. error 1222 : the network is not present or not started. please tell me what to do to sole this rogue problem. I found that the router is not working and I have to replace it. Do I have two problems here? Router and DNS service not running. Any help!!! hi i have win2003 server and tried to install a DNS service by adding it as a role through MANAGE YOUR SERVER option. so at first i got a message: "At least one of the network connections on this server is currently disconnected. Before continuing, ensure that all of your network connections are working properly." After installing operation finished i got a message that DNS was installed successfully but a problem occurred trying to start the DNS service. I tried to start a DNS server service manually but i got an error message: "could not start DNS server service on local computer. Error 1222: the network is not present or not started " By the way AD is not installed yet. Could any one help me, or has information about this problem? Thank u all in advance.
