I've had to roll it back due to memory leaks. They have new patches, but from what I've seen in the forums, there is still issues. This is probably unrelated to what you are seeing (I still have a few PCs with 8.8 that I have yet to get to), but the additional issues are worth bringing to management and holding off till they get the fix permanent. 0 Tabasco OP Mark Wormald Dec 9, 2011 at 6:59 UTC We think we have an answer - still testing it Ignore the error message - and once it is complete, install the agent over the top Will update this later 0 Mace OP Denis Kelley Dec 9, 2011 at 7:02 UTC If you are interested in what else may go wrong, check out this thread on the McAfee forum. Upgrade from XP SP2. McAfee was installed and running. The framework service does not start any more due to not enough rights. Since it is an AV program I have not used compatibility mode. It did run under the previous build beta 1. Product: McAfee VirusScan Enterprise -- Error 1920.Service McAfeeFramework (McAfeeFramework) failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. I am running as administrator. Any ideas. And the ATI LDDM driver that is included with Vista runs better than the ATI LDDM driver from ATI's website. :)For future issues that you have about Vista, please post it in http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/newsgroups/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.public.longhornhelp&lang=en&cr=US . Let me suggest that you do a clean installation of Vista.BTW, McAfee is known not to work in Beta 1 and 5219 build of Vista.
