SEARCH Knowledgebase: Groupwise Error code 382 on mail collection Posted by Adam Palmer on 16 Jul 10 03:39 PM Scenario: On the user statistics page, you are seeing Error Code 382 against the last synchronisation. You are usinga Groupwise server. Reason and resolution: In most instances this is because of one of the three following scenarios. All relate to the users account on Groupwise and the administrator/user should look at each reason in turn and see if it applies to the users Groupwise account: 1. The user has moved the inbox, or one of the other folders such as Sent Items, to a subfolder. When Notify attempts to access the inbox or other folder it is no longer advertised in the root of the account. Although Groupwise does allow the inbox to be moved to a subfolder, this is invalid for NotifyLink purposes. If you move the folder back to the root, on the next synchronisation this error should clear. 2. The user selected a folder for synchronisation in the NotifyLink client interface. Later, they deleted the folder from Groupwise or renamed it. The original folder is still shown as selected for synchronisation in the client interface. When the synchronisation occurs, this folder cannot be found, and error 382 is generated. For example, the user had a folder called "My Work 2005-2009" and they selected this for synchronisation. When the year changed to 2010, the user renamed the folder "My Work 2005-2010". Notify is still looking for the old folder. In the NotifyLink client interface, turn off the folder(s) that no longer exist in the users Groupwise account. On the next synchronisation as long as all folders are visible, the folderlist can then be updated and the new folder selected for synchronisation. 3.
