Which Windows 8 is it? 32bit or 64bit? If you search for this file on your PC, it may need to be registered first. According to my research, running a msinet.ocx windows 8 64 bit download VB6 application is still supported in Windows 8. http://msdn.microsoft.com/nb-no/vbrun/ms788708%28en-us%29.aspx Marked as answer by Yolanda ZhuModerator Monday, February 17, 2014 3:31 PM Friday, February 07, 2014 4:11 PM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote Hi, To be added, I found another thread that had similar problem with your's, the solution of its may be helpful: MSINET.OCX is a file required by many old application in order to parse HTML pages . This OCX will not register as most of know, by putting in in the system32 folder and typing the command “regsvr32 MSINET.OCX”. With newer 64 bit systems it is a bit tricky. Here is how to do it 1. download the filehere 2. Copy it to c:\windows\syswow64 3. type the following “Run” command “CMD” then right click the command prompt search result and hit “run as administrator”, in the command prompt type: “regsvr32 c:\windows\syswow64\MSINET.OCX” and yes, you must type the full path to the file, not just the name. 4. That’s it it should work now.
