The issue is that the message asks me to reinstall the Windows Search, but I have done that already countless times w/o any success. Please assist, thanks! Davy Thursday, June 12, 2008 7:51 AM Reply | Quote 1 Sign in to vote To fix the problem, simply close down outlook.Open windows explorer and navigate to the following path:C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlookdelete and clear all files located in the Outlook folder so that it is empty (username is the name you logged on with eg for me it would be C:\Documents and Settings\lilq\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook).Re-Open Outlook, and outlooks re-creates and updates it's data source and function correctlyThis should fix the problem.you can also try the following: regsvr32 %WINDIR%\system32\ole32.dllHave fun Proposed as answer by --Vinod-- Friday, June 19, 2009 1:51 PM Monday, June 16, 2008 12:08 AM Reply | Quote 0 Sign in to vote I had the same problem in both Outlook 2003 and 2007 when double clicking a mail message to move it to a folder. However, Word is unavailable, not installed, or is not the same version as Outlook. The Outlook e-mail editor will be used instead. An OLE registration error occurred. The program is not correctly installed. Run setup again for the program. I personally received this error message when selecting the Send/Receive https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/exchange/en-US/d02b9e68-0150-49f8-8601-b0412e853cb4/an-ole-registration-error-occurred-the-program-is-not-correctly-installed-run-setup-again-for-the?forum=exchangesvrclientslegacy button. To try to fix this problem, perform the following steps. Close Outlook. Hold down the Windows Key and press "R" to bring up the Windows Run dialog box. Type "regsvr32 ole32.dll" and select "OK". In some cases, you may need to type "regsvr32 %windir%\system32\ole32.dll". You should get a response that says the registration succeeded. Select "OK" and try Outlook again. If the http://www.technipages.com/outlook-error-an-ole-registration-error-occurred-the-program-is-not-correctly-installed error message still appears, try the following: Note: You may lose some data or settings. Close Outlook. Navigate to: XP users: C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Windows 8 & 7 users: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook Delete and clear all files located in the Outlook folder so that it is empty. Open Outlook, and it should re-create and update its data source and function correctly. Thanks to Somajde for this fix.
