It comes and goes. For some reason, X-forwarding just outright refuses to work. However, last time this happened it cleared up on its own within about a week. I just let it sit too long. The machines weren't rebooted. No troubleshooting was done. No updates were applied. Only a handful of machines are affected.BACKGROUND:Not just CentOS 6, but also a couple v5 machines are experiencing the following issue. I have a universal image for CentOS 6 that I push on to workstations and servers. My CentOS 5 image varies depending on certain hardware (RAID controllers), so I have a few of those. Some systems in our environment use DHCP, while others use Static IPs.Whether I'm doing an ssh -X or ssh -Y via Linux terminal, from Xming+PuTTY or MobaXterm on Windows, the error persists.I have been testing mostly by trying to run xclock.ERROR MESSAGE FOR XCLOCK:Error: Can't open display: localhost:10.0ERROR MESSAGE FOR MATLAB:Warning: Unable to open display 'localhost:10.0'. (saw a bug report from last year saying this could be a cause of random breaking).
