Since you can attach files in Outlook safe mode, I would suggest you to disable the add-ins of the operation failed outlook 2013 calendar Outlook at first refers to: File-> section Options-> section Add-Ins At the "Manage" dropdown list at the bottom select which type of add-ins you would like to enable/disable Press "Go…" and make the changes For some add-ins you’ll need to restart Outlook for changes to take effect. If no working, try to repair the Outlook program refers to following: Click Start, then click Control Panel. Click Programs and Features. Click the Office 2010 program that you want to repair, then click Change. Click Repair, then click Continue. You might need to restart your computer after the repair is complete Please take your time to try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience. If anything is unclear or if there is anything I can do for you, please feel free to let me know. save attachment or The operation failedHome» General Outlook opportunities» Outlook Cannot save attachment or The operation failed [message #142886] Thu, 22 March 2007 05:37 R E AMessages: 19Registered: March 2007 Junior Member For several messages in different mailboxes, one of the http://www.office-outlook.com/outlook-forum/index.php/m/142886/ attachment files cannot be opened or saved. The attachment types vary: Word file, PDF file, http://forums.msexchange.org/Operation_Failed_with_Outlook_Attachements/m_190051200/tm.htm or Text file attachment types. When trying to Open the attachment in Outlook, the error displayed is: "Microsoft Office Outlook The operation failed." When trying to save the attachment to a local file the error displayed is: "Microsoft Office Outlook Cannot save the attachment." These errors are observed in Outlook 2007, but I believe the same errors would occur in operation failed Outlook 2003. (I don't think this is a specific issue with Outlook 2007 version.) Is there any other suggestions for opening or saving the attachment -- or is my only option to delete the attachment or restore the data on Exchange ? Thank you. However I went through the procedure you referred to (KB 919078) and the MDBDATA registry entry matches the file system. (The MDBDATA directory does exist and matches the registry entry.) One of them get the error "The operation failed", when trying to send and email with a zipped Adobe Indesign attachment or a non-zipped Indesign attachment.I can send the attachment from my PC, with no problems.I ran DETECT and REPAIR on the failing PC and still get the error. Removed the OUTLOOK HOT BAR add-in and tried again....same error.Searched the internet for this error and can not find anything that works. The problem only occurs when sending attachement......tried some recommendations from Experts-Exchange, but nothing works.....however, found out it is not just one pc....it is all the PCs in the domain.....can not send large attachments....can not find any restrictions that are set that would affect this in such a manner....please Please advise. Thanks.
