I've already browsed the forums for help and none of the suggestions solve the problem. I have a clean install of Oracle 10g in c:\oracle\product\10.2\client_1 The installation of ODT and ODAC defaults to a new home - "c:\oracle\product\10.2\client_1" but the installation gives me the following error: The procedure entry point GetProcessImageFileNameW could not be located in the dynamic library PSAPI.DLL and then acts as if the installation is successful but when trying to access Oracle Application Debugging I get "Package has failed to load properly". Re: PSAPI.DLL installation error Christian.Shay -Oracle Sep 20, 2007 4:06 PM (in response to 599008) Try deinstalling the Java VM and then running the Oracle Installer. You currently have installed a newer version of the Java VM that requires a newer version of PSAPI.DLL. The one that Oracle Installer uses does not contain the entry point that the new JVM wants. So if you uninstall JVM and let Oracle install the one that comes with Oracle Installer the install should succeed. Let me know if this works for you. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 2. When trying to "setup-capture" the Oracle patch, it appears that the Thinapp process is hanging the setup routine. While in the midst of capture, the Oracle install routine will hang. If I exit oracle 10g out of the Thinapp Setup Capture, the install will continue. I've narrowed it down to a native psapi.dll tug-of-war. Has anyone encountered this issue when trying to package the oracle patch? When it hangs, kill SetupCapture using TaskManager. After the Oracle installer is done, launch SetupCapture again. It should give you the option to continue your previous capture. In my case the setup files were started from a network location that results in this problem. After copying the patch installer files to the local computer and run it from there everything works fine. Also try downloading the patch installer files again, maybe they are corrupted?
