I contacted the Apple Store and they said because so many people are trying to download it, the download button should come back on at least some time in the next few days. Hope this helped. share|improve this answer answered Jul 30 '12 at 9:02 Liam O'Neill 361 add a comment| up vote 1 down vote Have a look at this question: How do I troubleshoot "An error has occurred" when trying to update the Kindle app in the Mac App Store? Also Apple has a general troubleshooting flow chart here. http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/troubleshooting/ In your case I would sign out of the store, make sure the date on your Mac matches an Internet time server and try the download again from the purchased tab. If that doesn't work, you can seek support from the link above. share|improve this answer answered Jul 29 '12 at 3:04 bmike♦ 115k38202437 add a comment| up vote 1 down vote I signed out from iTunes and signed in again upon restarting my mac twice. Anybody can ask a question Anybody can answer The best answers are voted up and rise to the top What should I do when “An error has occurred” when downloading Lion? up vote 9 down vote favorite I'm trying to download the http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/58029/error-downloading-mountain-lion-from-appstore new Mac OS. When click install, the icon pops onto the dock and says Waiting... After about 5 minutes, it disappears and in the purchased category of the Mac App Store, next to install it says: An error has occurred Why is this happening? Edit: Originally I could not even get the download bar in the purchased section until I reconfigured my router slightly(I'm using a BT Business Hub). I am now able to get the download bar. However, I still get "Waiting..." on http://apple.stackexchange.com/questions/17814/what-should-i-do-when-an-error-has-occurred-when-downloading-lion the icon and after about 3 minutes, I receive the same error message: An error has occurred I still believe that it is a router problem and not the app stores' servers. Has another been able to fix this yet? Here is a screenshot when I click the install button: And here is a screenshot after about 2 minutes: osx lion upgrade mac-appstore share|improve this question edited Jul 21 '11 at 8:55 asked Jul 20 '11 at 15:54 Ginger Bill 203138 You won't be able to pinpoint the problem until you try to download the OS from another connection/router configuration. Until then, we cannot safely say if it's Apple's servers (doesn't seem like it if it times out so readily) or your router configuration... –user10355 Sep 13 '11 at 19:39 add a comment| 6 Answers 6 active oldest votes up vote 4 down vote accepted I have sorted the issue. I just had to use a different router. The BT Business hub that I previously been using had a problem on it which prevented anything above 2GB do loose connection. This would explain other problems as well. share|improve this answer answered Jul 21 '11 at 10:39 Ginger Bill 203138 1 Glad you've sorted things - do accept this answer if it's the best solution for you :-) –bmike♦ Sep 13 '11 at 23:15 add a comment| Did you find this question interesting?
