I am trying to convert some Hi8mm video tapes to DVD. I have Produced a single movie file of 1 hour and 54 minutes with 11 scenes in it. It includes some transitions and a single music track over about 3 of the scenes. Pretty basic movie with no special effects. But PD8 will not burn this movie to Disc or to Folders. It bombs out after about 15 minutes (11%) with an error message that says “Burn Unsuccessful” and “Unspecified Error.” Now there’s a bit of helpful programming – not! So far, I have performed the following to try to diagnose and correct the problem: 1. Shut off all other running applications (at least the ones I can find) 2. Uninstalled and reinstalled PD8 and the Content Pack Multiple times (Buil
will not go to 2.0MG per manual! \015 Dimension memory problem as follows: I had 2 X 512MB of RAM for 1.0 MB of memory. I bought 2 x 1024MB chips to upgrade per manual system.outofmemoryexception c# and installed one. The system recognized the new 1024MB chip and shows the ram as 1.5mg. I shut down and the second 512MG with the second new 1024MB and the computer would not start. Check trouble lights in back of computer per manual and it indicated a memory problem. Remove second 1024MB and reinstalled old 512MB - computer worked fine at 1.5MB again. (I am doing this upgrade to two computer so I have four new http://www.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/list/9272.page;jsessionid=ADF2452A01F0881F64DF22EC1C17FE5A chips). I then removed the second old 512MB chip and put in a third new 1024MB chip. Same problem - no start and trouble lights show the same malfunction. Check BIOS and it is correct. Check F2 - setup at start... it is OK. Out of options. The new chips are - 1024MB 400Mhz DDR 1GB PC3200 Low DensityFSB - which are compatable for the Dimension 2400... Question.. The PC3200 are supposed to be backward (DDR) compatable http://www.electronic-servicing.com/dell_dimension_2400_pc_desktop/q851362-dimension_2400_1_5mg_will_not_go_2_0mg with PC2700. Everything I read say that is so. My 512MB Chips are PC2700 (the dimension 2400 is a PC2700 system) and the new 1024's are PC3200. QQQ... Is the PC3200 backward compatable only when a PC2700 is present. In other words... I my computer read (when 2 x 1024 PC3200 installed) PC2300 and the chips are not backing to PC2700 therefore system will not start. That is the only reasoning I can figure... Would like someone else opinion and advise. Thanks - Mark\015 Answers : Yeah thats a normal issue with the dimension 2400 as the older bios only supports a max of 1gb of memory you will need to go to the dell website which ive linked below and get the bios update which will give you support up to 2gb-pc3200 ddr memory\015\012\015\012http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/driverslist.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&ServiceTag=&SystemID=DIM_PNT_P4_CEL_2400&os=WW1&osl=en&catid=&impid= Go to http://www.crucial.com/uk and download their memory scanner. It will tell you want you have installed and what you can use in your system. I have used them and preformed numerous upgrades. I hope this help. Any ideas why? According Microsoft 7 Upgrade Advisor everything fits and is compatible (incl. the Radeon X600 256MB HyperMemory card). Memory is at 3.5GB RAM. Display is an Asus VW224T, recommanded for Vista (more details I have listed on System Specs). After the files installation and expansion, when the pc shutdowns and restarts for the 1st time the display freezes, i.e. turns black with the message "Windows ist starting" but nothing happens any more. I have to cold start the system amd choose "run previus windows"-option to get back to Windows XP Dimension 5150 is NOT listed on Windows 7 compatibility list... but I have read old forum threads that Windows 7 runs smoothly on it.
