If not, then make sure the theme fatal error out of memory autocad is updated properly to the latest drupal6 version. If it is, look for an issue in that theme, or create one. Presubaly $content is pretty heavy - the table of checkboxes etc. However there are probably some contrib modules that are consuming the bulk of the used memory. You either need to increase the memory available to Drupal or turn off any memory-hungry modules (probably not a very appealing option). Possibly a contrib module needs optimizing to make it use less RAM. BTW it looks like the PHP memory limit available to the Drupal is nearer 42M not 64M. gpk ----www.ale

One night after routine updates of a https://www.drupal.org/node/463234 few modules the error started appearing. Even when I downgraded those modules it was too late. The damage was done. HERE IS THE CATCH. The error appears after allocating no more than 41156608 bytes (~40M) in EVERY case, sometimes less. This is FAR below the memory limit, which my host - HostGator, has now upped to 512M in an effort to problem solve. They have overridden the set server limits in my case in an attempt to eliminate causes. Also it doesn't just happen when accessing information from one specific module or module table. The http://drupal.stackexchange.com/questions/4293/how-do-i-avoid-the-error-out-of-memory error log is showing a ton of errors (I have copied some below.) I spoke with the techs at the hosting place and they put php.ini files in all the directories... I also out of upgraded the memory limits in all those files. They said that it must be one of the scripts. I really have no idea what to do:( I installed Gallery2 and the Gallery module on a test server and everything worked great. Then I installed it on the "real website" and all was fine for a while and then suddenly this happened. Should I just try out of memory dumping the gallery module? (Because that was the only thing that has changed) What else would you recommend? I feel like crying (or hitting a punching bag)... I just don't know what to do:( Thanks a lot, Christine [28-Aug-2008 14:51:57] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 50331648) (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/includes/cache.inc on line 33 [28-Aug-2008 14:52:10] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 50069504) (tried to allocate 232 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/modules/taxonomy.views.inc on line 973 [28-Aug-2008 14:52:15] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 50069504) (tried to allocate 85 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/modules/taxonomy.views.inc on line 973 [28-Aug-2008 14:54:37] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 50069504) (tried to allocate 78 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/includes/cache.inc on line 33 [28-Aug-2008 14:54:44] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 49807360) (tried to allocate 25 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/modules/search.views.inc on line 126 [28-Aug-2008 14:54:51] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 49545216) (tried to allocate 8192 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/sites/all/modules/views/modules/search.views.inc on line 1 [28-Aug-2008 14:58:09] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 50331648) (tried to allocate 24 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/public_html/includes/cache.inc on line 33 [28-Aug-2008 14:58:13] PHP Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 50331648) (tried to allocate 74 bytes) in /home1/leemagaz/pu

My server's limit is at its maximum allowed by my provider (32 MB). Those errors appears mostly when interacting with the modules page, but it's also appearing for any user who tries renewing his password, or editing nodes. Thus, would you have any advice on how to lower the memory usage? P.S.: I've noticed most of those errors include views and views plugins .inc files. But it also concerns .inc files from the core modules and system... I could copy some there if you want me to. 7 share|improve this question edited May 7 at 23:40 kiamlaluno♦ 66.5k897192 asked May 28 '11 at 13:25 nyoz 143311 add a comment| 3 Answers 3 active oldest votes up vote 6 down vote accepted There's really not much you can do in this case. Drupal 7 requires fair bit of memory and so do Views, Panels, etc. If upgrading to a hosting plan where you have at least 128MB is not an option I would at least make sure the following modules are kept disabled: Update Manager Database Logging Field UI Views UI Panels In-Place Editor Any other "UI" module Do your development locally and use version control & Features to update your production box. share|improve this answer answered May 28 '11 at 13:43 Alex 4,56511547 2 To notice that Views UI is only necessary when editing an existing view, or adding a new view; for the normal usage, Views UI is not necessary, and Views
