A bit more info on your environment is also helpful (OS, Webserver, Db server, fcp 7 out of memory error when rendering contributed modules etc.) - Arie Log in or register to post comments Try changing back to garland aufumy commented December 1, 2008 at 8:26am Try changing back to garland theme, and see if the same error appears. If not, then make sure the theme is updated properly to the latest drupal6 version. If it is, look for an issue in that theme, or create one. One night after routine updates of a few modules the error started appearing. Even when I downgraded those modules it was too late. The damage was done. HERE IS THE CATCH. The error appears after allocating no more than 41156608 bytes (~40M) in EVERY https://www.drupal.org/node/463234 case, sometimes less. This is FAR below the memory limit, which my host - HostGator, has now upped to 512M in an effort to problem solve. They have overridden the set server limits in my case in an attempt to eliminate causes. Also it doesn't just happen when accessing information from one specific module or module table. I've seen this error attached to: 1. .../sites/all/modules/simplenews/simplenews.admin.inc on line 1190 2. .../sites/all/modules/ubercart/uc_cart/uc_cart.pages.inc on line 190 3. .../includes/theme.inc on line 758 4. .../includes/database.mysql.inc on line 301 5. .../sites/all/modules/views/includes/admin.inc on line 2707 Since the error first occurred, I've upgraded to Drupal 6.11 (in hopes of overwriting any bugs) and I've completely removed some modules using Filezilla and taken many more offline directly through the database System table with no effect. I consistently rerun update.php throughout these changes. So the number of active modules is much less than before the error started to occur. My host is trying everything but has commented, "...The issue is not that you're hitting the PHP limit, or even the apache limit. You don't appear to be. I honestly think you're hitting the MySQL server limit..." Could this be a MySQL performance issue or serve

Log in to edit this page. That indicates that Drupal needed more memory than PHP was allowed to give it. Where is my php.ini file in Drupal to see my memory limit? - Every system is different. To see your php configuration, create a new php file in your sites root directory and name it "myinfo.php". Inside this newly created blank php file, simply type then browse to that file in your web browser by going to http://yoursite.com/myinfo.php Now you can see where the original php.ini file is as well as other information about your config such as memory_limit.Drupal 7 For SHARED HOSTING - complete the steps below, creating a php.ini file and putting it in the Drupal root. Copy the entire contents of the original php.ini file and paste them into the new php.ini file you've made in your Drupal root. Now change the memory_limit directive to say 128M. How to make a shared server refresh and use this new php file - Go to your host and open your cpanel account. Now look for a section that says "PHP Processes"...Open this section, and click "Kill Processes". This will refresh apache and pick up your new php.ini file on a shared hosting account. Memory increase to 128M: (This has worked every-time; and used to always work for D6 as well) Create a new file php.ini, and add the code...php_value memory_limit = "128M" and put that file in your Drupal 7 (or D6) root folder. For step-by-step details, see comment below...Drupal 7 "Fatal error: Allowed memory size of ...". If you need more than 128M: Add the lineini_set('memory_limit', '512M'); to your [Drupal 7 root]/sites/default/settings.php file. I have yet to need this much memory, but I did achieve a memory increase to 512M using this slightly more complicated process that involved temporarily changing the permission level for that file. For step-by-step details see the comment below Drupal 7 memory increase to more than 128M. End Drupal 7 =================== Increase PHP memory limit Increase PHP's memory limit, e.g. to increase it to 32M you could try adding: memory_limit = 32M to your server's main php.ini file (recommended, if you have access) memory_limi
